ABOUT ME
I am a Brazilian Translator and Localisation Tester with over 6 years of experience, living in Ireland since 2011. I have a BA in in Communications (Publicity and Advertisement) and graduated from English schools in Brazil and in Ireland.
My background includes translation and reviewing of softwares and documentation, as well as miscellaneous linguistic tasks such as quality assurance, terminology and style guide development.
I worked onsite at Apple Headquarter as a tester for over 5 years focused on ensuring excellence of Apple's products released to Brazilian Portuguese and other markets by validating if the software meets cultural, linguistic, aesthetic, functional and usability standards of the region, working as a part of a big and dynamically evolving, multinational localisation team on Mac OS, iOS and Windows platforms. It gave me an excellent understanding of tests processes and methodologies.
My main focus is on providing high quality translations and tests. No effort is spared to select the correct terminology and produce a translated text that is comprehensible and clear to the reader. I take careful note of any errors, irregularities and ambiguities, allowing the client to make the final decision on how these situations are ultimately handled.
